Newark announces increased safety measures, street closures during Portugal Day festivities

Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose recently announced that the Newark Police Division is stepping up security and closing several streets to accommodate the upcoming Portugal Day Festival and other activities to be held Friday, June 8th to Sunday, June 10th, 2018 in the city’s East Ward.
