LOWELL, MA: Portuguese writer and journalist Filipa Melo to give lecture at UMass Lowell

    UMass Lowell Jack and Stella Kerouac Center for the Public Humanities, the English Department and the Saab-Pedroso Center for Portuguese Culture and Research announce a lecture, “Whitman & Pessoa, ‘Brothers in the Universe,’” by Filipa Melo, Portuguese writer and journalist and the Fall 2014 Luso-American Foundation/College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Writer-in-Residence. The lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, at 3 p.m. in O’Leary Library, Room 478. The event is free and open to the public. Parking in Wilder Lot, across from 61 Wilder Street.
